This 1983 Moody 29 is a fiberglass cruising yacht designed by Angus Primrose and built by Marine Projects in Plymouth. She features the classic Moody construction known for solid build quality and forgiving sailing characteristics. The boat is equipped with a 24 hp Bukh diesel engine (refurbished in 2021, serviced December 2024), fin keel, and tiller steering.
Accommodation comprises two cabins with six berths, a saloon with chart table and folding dining table, galley with cooker and sink, and one head with manual toilet. The interior includes hanging lockers, wet locker, and fabric upholstery throughout. The layout is practical for family cruising and extended passages.
The standing and running rigging were both replaced in December 2022. The sloop rig includes headsail furling and mainsail reefing systems, with five manual winches. Navigation equipment includes a Garmin GPSMAP 923 chart-plotter integrated with Tacktick deck instruments, VHF radio, depth gauge, and log. The sprayhood and sail cover were replaced in September 2022.
Recent structural work completed in February 2025 included replacement of all ten keel bolts and cutless bearings. The hull has been epoxy coated with SeaJet antifoul applied. Fuel capacity is 20 gallons, water is 40 gallons, and fresh water cooling is fitted with fresh water system and battery charger on board.
