A 1983 Nautor Swan 70 designed by German naval architect Germán Frers and built in Finland, this yacht stretches nearly 69 feet with a beam of 17.5 feet. The fiberglass hull combines the hallmarks of the classic Swan era—uncompromising build quality, long-distance comfort, and strong sailing characteristics. Power comes from a Perkins Sabre diesel engine rated at 220 horsepower.
The extended five-foot length compared to the base Swan 651 creates an unusually generous aft deck with large social areas and substantial storage. A center cockpit layout provides both shelter and safety, while the interior features a separate owner's cabin aft, multiple guest cabins, and five cabins overall with three heads. The salon showcases high-gloss teak throughout, and a well-positioned galley connects to the main social spaces, making the yacht comfortable for extended cruising with family or crew.
The yacht has undergone significant upgrades over its life. A custom-designed bulb keel by Lars Ström and carbon fiber mast from Nordic Mast were installed in 2003, reducing weight and improving both stability and sailing performance. The bulb keel incorporates a freshwater tank of approximately 1,400 liters; total fuel capacity is about 2,000 liters. Rod rigging was replaced in 2023, and in 2024 the Navtec hydraulics were overhauled. In 2025, new checkstays, runners, and topmast rigging were added, along with new running rigging and a furling system for the staysails.
The sail plan reflects continuous modernization and includes a North Sails 3Di mainsail, newer genoa, cutter staysails, Code 0, and multiple gennakers and spinnakers—representing a high standard of performance capability alongside classic Swan character.
