1983 Stevens 40

This Stevens 40 was designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built by Queen Long Shipyard as a center-cockpit cruiser for offshore and liveaboard sailing. The hull is fiberglass with a modified fin keel, encapsulated ballast, and skeg-hung rudder. She carries a cutter rig and is powered by a 75-horsepower Yammer diesel engine. One of only seven Stevens 40s built, she measures 40 feet with a 12.58-foot beam.

The interior features two staterooms with abundant storage and tankage, designed for extended cruising. The layout prioritizes comfort and practicality for those planning to spend considerable time aboard and at sea.

The current owner equipped the yacht with redundant systems throughout, including solar and wind power generation. A full canvas enclosure is installed. The engine has been updated, and the boat carries substantial spare parts and supplies. These additions reflect preparation for extended ocean cruising.
