This 1998 J/120 is a 40-foot fiberglass sloop built for performance sailing. The boat features a carbon fiber mast by Hall and is equipped with 2021 North 3Di Endurance sails, including a full-batten mainsail with Dutchman reefing system and a 145% furling genoa. An asymmetrical spinnaker with Karver furler is also included.
The yacht is powered by a Yanmar 39 hp diesel engine with fresh engine mounts and converted to freshwater cooling. Helm and navigation are supported by a new Standard Horizon VHF radio with DSC at the nav station and cockpit remote, plus Raymarine AiS 700. The boat carries three electric winches covering the primaries and main halyard, with a new powder-coated aluminum wheel and suede leather wrap.
Below deck, the boat features an electric flush head with a 15-gallon holding tank and Y-valve installed in 2011. The electrical system includes two new lithium house batteries, a Renogy DCC50S combined battery isolator and charge controller, and a 100-watt solar panel mounted on the bimini. The galley has a rebuilt Force Ten stove with new burners. The blue hull is finished in Awlgrip.
