1983 Vagabond Ketch

This 47-foot Vagabond ketch was designed by William Garden as a serious offshore cruising platform. Built in fiberglass with a beam of 14 feet, she combines traditional heavy-displacement design with a practical layout suited to extended passages and comfortable liveaboard use.

The interior features warm teak woodwork, a protected center cockpit, and a two-stateroom arrangement with generous storage throughout. Systems have received ongoing attention: the Perkins diesel has been rebuilt, refrigeration updated, and the boat carries solar charging, a watermaker, and a generator. Fresh water capacity is 200 gallons; fuel capacity is approximately 300 gallons.

The yacht presents as well-maintained, with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems upgraded over time. Her design prioritizes comfort at sea, accessible systems, and the storage and practicality expected of a dedicated cruising yacht rather than a production boat optimized for speed or weight.
