1983 Wilbur 38 Flybridge

This 1983 Wilbur 38 Flybridge is a classic Downeast cruiser built by Lee S. Wilbur & Co. in Southwest Harbor, Maine. The boat features the design hallmarks Wilbur is known for: a raked stem, round chines, full-length keel and skeg, and full transom. These characteristics give the hull its characteristic soft, dry ride and relatively flat running angle across the speed range. Powered by a single 450-horsepower Cummins diesel engine, she cruises at 14 knots and reaches 18 knots at full throttle.

The hull is fiberglass with topside and deck surfaces finished in Awlgrip Eggshell White; the non-skid cockpit sole is a custom light blue. Interior painted surfaces, including the engine room and lazarette, are Awlgrip Snow White. The layout combines social spaces with comfortable sleeping quarters, a galley, and a head, making efficient use of the beam of nearly 15 feet to maximize room throughout.
