The 2001 Navigator Californian 3900 is a 39-foot flybridge cruiser built in fiberglass with twin 318 hp Volvo Penta diesel engines delivering 636 total horsepower. The boat cruises at 12 knots with a top speed of 15 knots and is powered by dual 150-gallon aluminum fuel tanks. A Northern Lights 5.5kw generator supports the extensive onboard systems, while a Webasto Hydronic heating system provides cabin heating and instant hot water.
The interior accommodates up to eight people across two spacious staterooms with ensuite heads featuring walk-in showers, plus two double pullouts—one in the salon and one on the flybridge. The main salon is bright and open, with a large dinette, well-appointed helm station, galley with appliances updated in the mid-2010s, and a custom sectional on the port side. Wood detailing runs throughout the interior. The flybridge offers substantial seating with full enclosure and new upholstery installed in 2022.
Navigation systems include twin Raymarine Axiom Plus 9 touchscreens, Raython depth finder, and Standard Horizon VHF radio. Hydraulic steering with rudder angle indicators and a Ritchie compass complete the helm. Electrical infrastructure comprises six Powerline batteries, two alternators, and a Pro-Mariner 50-amp charger with Xantrex monitoring.
Since 2021, significant work has been completed: all fuel injectors rebuilt, shafts and props removed, checked, and trued with new dripless seals installed, a third midship bilge pump added, new toilets and discharge pump fitted, windlass and control box replaced, new navigation lights throughout, and extensive cosmetic updates including new dinette upholstery and flybridge canvas with glass. The engine compartment is spacious with easy access, and bottom paint with fresh zincs date to July 2021.
