1984 Hallberg-Rassy 49

This Hallberg-Rassy 49 is a Scandinavian center-cockpit cruising design built for ocean passagemaking. Designed by Olle Enderlein and Christoph Rassy and constructed in Sweden, the hull combines a traditional offshore underbody with a protected center-cockpit layout and the model's characteristic flush-deck profile. The yacht is built on substantial displacement with encapsulated lead ballast, a protected rudder arrangement, and deep interior volume suited to extended cruising.

The boat carries a 2016 Yanmar 4JH110 110 hp diesel engine with approximately 1,470 hours of service. A Northern Lights 7 kW generator is also aboard with roughly 1,400 hours. The 49 sleeps in three cabins with two freshwater heads, one of which includes bidet function and was installed in June 2024. Navigation is handled by Raymarine Axiom Pro multifunction displays paired with Starlink connectivity and PredictWind DataHub. The main fuel tank gasket and manifold were renewed in March 2025.

Recent systems upgrades include a Vari Prop 3-blade feathering propeller installed in 2023, a custom hardtop added in October 2024, new refrigeration components from October 2024, and refreshed Lifeline batteries from Spring 2022. Doyle sails date to 2016. Deck gear includes four electric Lewmar winches and a Side-Power bow thruster fitted in 2016. A teak swim platform with bench seating sits at the transom. The boat is equipped with a Hypalon dinghy and 15 hp Suzuki outboard from 2022.
