The Passport 40 is a fast cruising yacht designed by Robert Perry and built at King Dragon Shipyard in Taiwan during the 1980s. Known for its balance of performance, strength, and comfort, the design has earned a strong reputation among offshore sailors. This 1984 model features a fiberglass hull measuring 40 feet in length with a 12.66-foot beam.
Below deck, the interior is finished in solid teak and arranged for comfortable cruising. The galley includes a four-burner stove with oven, large refrigerator with separate freezer, and double sinks with fresh, salt, and filtered water systems. A spacious head with electric toilet and a separate shower stall complete the facilities. A dedicated navigation station and generous storage throughout support extended time at sea.
The yacht carries a cutter rig with headsails on furlers and all lines led aft to the cockpit for safe handling. A high-performance mainsail from Calibre Sails works with a 135% genoa and staysail. The navigation suite features B&G electronics including chartplotter, radar, AIS, wind, speed, and depth instruments connected via NMEA 2000 network with Wi-Fi capability. The boat was re-powered with a Volvo Penta D55 diesel engine showing 1,050 hours.
