1996 J Boats J/120

The J/120 is a 40-foot racer-cruiser built in 1996 with a fiberglass hull and fin keel. Powered by a Yanmar 3JH2E diesel engine rated at 38 hp with just 1,823 hours, it achieves a cruising speed of 8 knots and a maximum speed of 12 knots. The mast and boom are carbon fiber, rigged with new standing rigging completed in 2026 and a freshly painted mast. A retractable bow sprit and North Endurance main sail round out the sail plan.

Below deck, the yacht offers two cabins and one head. Power systems include AGM batteries, a Balmar alternator, and an inverter-charger. Navigation and electronics are handled by B&G systems. The shaft drive engine and overall layout support both racing and cruising use.
