The 1984 Sunny Briggs 37 Express is a composite-hulled sportfish built by the renowned Wanchese custom yard. Twin Caterpillar diesel engines deliver 750 horsepower, capable of cruising at 20 knots and reaching speeds up to 25 knots. The boat measures 37 feet in length with a 13.5-foot beam, proportioned for both capable offshore performance and comfortable handling.
The design reflects influences from some of the era's most respected builders, with styling cues reminiscent of Rybovich and Merritt. The boat was repowered in 1997 with Caterpillar engines that carry low running hours, and all engine services remain current. A comprehensive refit was completed after the current ownership began, with work performed at Briggs Boatworks to restore and refresh the yacht.
This is a well-maintained example of Wanchese craftsmanship from the golden era of custom sportfish design.
