This 1985 Barnett Offshore is a 47-foot fiberglass sailing yacht designed in Seattle and built in New Zealand. Originally conceived as an offshore racer, she has since served as a cruising and live-aboard boat, with documented passages through the South Pacific and participation in the Pacific Cup.
The yacht sleeps five and includes two heads. She is powered by a single 72-horsepower Westerbeke diesel engine installed in 2004. The main sail operates through a Leisure Furl boom system. A bow thruster assists with maneuvering in tight quarters. Power management includes a Kiss Air wind generator, Panda diesel generator, and solar panels charging the battery bank. A Splendide washer and dryer is installed in the forward cabin.
Over the past two decades of current ownership, the boat has undergone extensive upgrades. Navigation electronics have been modernized, and the interior has been fully reupholstered. A survey conducted three years ago evaluated her as a capable ocean-going sailboat.
