1985 Endeavour 51

This 1985 Endeavour 51 is a center cockpit cruising sloop designed by Johan Valentijen. Built in fiberglass with a 51-foot length and 15-foot beam, she draws up to 6 feet and displaces 37,500 pounds. The boat is powered by a Perkins 4-236 85-horsepower diesel engine paired with a Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmission. A Tohatsu 15-horsepower outboard is included.

The interior accommodates three cabins with two heads, plus two additional storage cabins. The forward crew quarters and aft starboard head are currently configured as work and storage spaces but can be repurposed. Headroom reaches 7 feet throughout most of the boat. The galley, navigation station, and main accommodations are arranged for efficient cruising, with aluminum water and fuel tanks providing 300 gallons of fresh water and 125 gallons of fuel capacity.

Recent work includes a partial engine overhaul in 2024 involving a rebuilt head, new injectors, fuel pump, valve realignment, and head gasket replacement. The electrical system features Victron lithium house batteries installed in 2024, a 2000-watt inverter-charger, solar panels, and a 7-kilowatt generator with 1,173 hours. New standing and running rigging was installed in 2017 and 2023, respectively, with a full mast redo in 2017. The rig carries new Quantum sails from 2023 and a full-battened mainsail with Stack-Pack.

Electronics include a 2024 Garmin radar, wind and speed instruments, Garmin hydraulic autopilot, Starlink, and Standard Horizon VHF systems. Deck equipment encompasses a new electric windlass, dual anchors with chain, and a heavy-duty davit system. The cabin sole in several areas requires replacement, the starboard fuel tank needs replacement, and engine stringers should be inspected. The bottom was last hauled in 2023.
