A 1985 Hunter Legend 40 built with solid fiberglass construction and a one-piece molded keel. The boat is powered by a diesel engine that received a complete rebuild in 2021, including new fuel system components, exhaust mixing elbow, raw water valve and filter, rebuilt heat exchanger, and new engine mounts. The fuel system features a new 31-gallon tank with electronic sender and all new lines. Dual batteries with a new GUEST 20-amp charger provide power.
Below deck, the interior sleeps six across three cabins: a vee berth forward, main cabin, and private aft double transom berth. Two enclosed heads with showers and seacock valves serve the accommodations. The main cabin features an alcoved dinette with dropleaf table, and a navigation station with storage desk. Teak bulkheads, doors, and cabinets combine with teak and holly sole throughout. A 105-gallon water tank supplies the shore water connection and 12-volt bilge pump.
The boat carries electronics including an ICOM M55 VHF radio, Danforth Corsaire compass, Datamarine depth and knot instruments mounted in the helm pod, Datamarine LX 360 wind instrument, and radar reflector. Rigging includes a Sterns roller-furling mainsail system, six Maxwell winches, and a sail flaking system. The exterior features stainless steel bow and stern railings with three gates, double lifelines, integral stern folding ladder, and a new dodger added in 2022. The hull carries bronze through-hulls, a new cutlass bearing installed in 2023, a 17-inch propeller, and bronze stuffing box. An emergency tiller with storage is aboard.
