This 1985 Island Packet 31 is a displacement-hulled sailing yacht built with fiberglass, measuring 31 feet in length with an 11.6-foot beam. Power comes from a Yanmar 3GM30F diesel engine rated at 27 horsepower, providing reliable auxiliary propulsion. The boat carries a keel-stepped mast with original Esprit main, genoa, and staysail, along with a Schaefer roller furling system. Three Lewmar self-tailing winches were installed new in 2024.
Below deck, the galley features an alcohol stove with oven and an 11-gallon hot water heater. A cockpit shower is fitted on deck. The boat is equipped with wheel steering, electric and manual bilge pumps, and a 30-amp shore power connection supported by two group 24 batteries. Navigation electronics include a Raymarine i50 Tridata displaying log, speed, and depth, plus a Raymarine Autohelm 3000 autopilot. An Icom IC-M302 VHF radio and Pyle stereo with interior speakers round out the onboard electronics.
Recent additions and improvements include a dodger installed in 2023, a bimini top and winter cover by Leon Canvas added in 2023 and 2024 respectively, and a mainsail cover from 2024. The boat is fitted for comfortable cruising and day sailing alike.
