This 35-foot Mirage 35 is a Robert Perry design built for sailors wanting genuine performance alongside comfortable cruising. The hull combines a powerful, beamy shape with a fin keel and balanced spade rudder—characteristics that have kept these 1980s designs relevant with serious owners. The deck layout is straightforward and supports both spirited racing and manageable short-handed sailing.
The rigging and sails reflect substantial recent work. Standing rigging was replaced in 2016, along with airfoil spreaders and most running rigging. A deck-stepped anodized aluminum mast, Hood Seafurl headsail furler, lazy jacks, and Lewmar #45 self-tailing primary winches comprise the core gear. Doyle mainsail and 110% genoa are from 2021; a 135% genoa from 2014 is also aboard. All lines lead aft to ease single-handed operation.
Power comes from a 2017 Yanmar 3YM30AE diesel with approximately 350 hours. The aluminum fuel tank was replaced in 2017. Navigation and helm electronics are solid: Simrad NSE 8 radar and GPS display, Simrad Cruise 9 at the nav station (added 2022), Raymarine ST60 depth and speed, TackTick wireless wind instruments, West Marine DSC VHF, and a Raymarine Evolution EV-100 wheel autopilot installed in 2023.
Below deck, the interior features teak bulkheads and trim, teak-and-holly sole, and 6'5" headroom. Layout includes a forward V-berth cabin, enclosed head, U-shaped main saloon settee converting to a double berth, starboard settee berth, quarter berth, galley to port with double sink and two-burner stove with oven, and nav station to starboard. LED lighting, cabin fan, and a stereo system are installed. The boat includes a bimini from 2019, winter cover, cockpit table, companionway screen, and a Magma stainless grill with new propane tank from 2024.
