1985 Nonsuch 30 Ulta

A 1985 Nonsuch 30 Ultra, a single-handed cruiser catboat designed by Mark Ellis and built by Hinterhoeller Yachts. The boat features the signature unstayed mast and large wishbone boom characteristic of the Nonsuch line, along with a cat-rigged sail plan that makes handling straightforward. Powered by a Westerbeke 27 hp diesel engine with 1,086 hours, the yacht carries 30 gallons of fuel, 86 gallons of fresh water, and 24 gallons of holding tank capacity.

The interior reflects the model's renowned spacious layout, with standing headroom comparable to larger 35-foot vessels. The U-shaped galley and dedicated navigator's station make efficient use of the available space, while accommodation includes a forward cabin, dinette with cushions, and a head with shower and transfer pump. A teak and holly sole adds warmth to the cabin interior.

Electronics include an Autohelm 3000 autopilot, Standard Horizon VHF radio with integrated depth, speed, and wind instruments, electronic and binnacle compasses, and a Clipper digital compass. A 220-watt solar panel system with controller supports 12-volt DC power, supplemented by 115-volt AC shore power with a 30-amp charger.

Deck equipment comprises two Barient and one Enkes winch, plus an electric Barient winch, a Lofrans windlass, and two anchors with chain and rode. The boat carries a Sobstad main with dodger and sail cover, and features a newer cockpit enclosure. A two-burner propane stove, refrigerated ice box, and propane hot water heater are included.
