The O'Day 35 is a proven 35-foot cruising sailboat with a fiberglass hull and keel-stepped mast. Powered by a Universal M-25 diesel engine producing 25 horsepower, it cruises at 6 knots and starts reliably. This example has spent its entire life in freshwater and has received substantial upgrades over recent years, including new canvas (custom dodger, windshield, and bimini in 2024), a modern Raymarine electronics suite with radar, autopilot, and sonar installed in 2021, and dual 100-watt solar panels added in 2025. The engine received a rebuilt alternator mount, new freshwater pump, and new serpentine belt in 2026.
Below deck, the yacht offers three cabins arranged with a V-berth forward, quarter berth to starboard, and convertible U-shaped salon that sleeps two additional crew. Teak and oak trim throughout provides warm, traditional accommodations. The galley features an Origo alcohol stove and oven, a 120-volt microwave, a Dometic refrigerator, and double stainless sink. A single head with 6-gallon hot water heater and transom shower serves the interior.
Systems include a 12-volt battery bank of five batteries (all under 4 years old), 120-volt inverter, pressurized water with new accumulator, 30-gallon diesel fuel capacity, 50-gallon split freshwater tanks, and 18-gallon holding tank. Additional equipment on deck consists of two anchors with rode, removable pulpit seats, custom cockpit cushions, propane grill, and tow-behind dinghy davits. A steel cradle and custom winter cover are included. Recent 2026 maintenance addressed the engine compartment, electrical safety upgrades, water system refinement, and interior improvements including new salon fan and LED lighting.
