1985 Oyster 435

The 1985 Oyster 435 is a classic ocean-cruising sailboat designed by Holman & Pye and built by the British Oyster shipyard. At 43 feet in length with a 14-foot beam, the yacht combines robust structural design with the quality construction Oyster became known for. Its central cabin layout delivers a sense of security and liveability uncommon in modern yachts of similar size.

The interior is arranged with two double cabins, two full heads, an equipped galley, and a bright central saloon. The accommodation is designed for extended cruising, whether coastal or ocean passages. Teak decking was reviewed and updated in 2016, preserving the classic aesthetic. The yacht is fitted with a bow thruster, dual anchoring systems, davits, and a swim platform.

The boat has received substantial improvements over recent years. A 65 hp Solé diesel engine was installed in 2014. Navigation electronics were upgraded, and the electrical and energy systems were modernized with AGM batteries and solar panels. Between 2024 and 2026, the yacht underwent major work including two air-conditioning systems, complete interior and exterior upholstery renewal, new teak cabin sole, replacement hatch seals, a new water heater, and hull maintenance with antifouling applied in May 2026. These updates maintain the boat's capability for autonomous long-distance cruising.
