The 1985 Tayana 37 is a fiberglass cruising yacht designed by Robert Perry, featuring a single stateroom and head layout suited to couples or small crews. The boat has been owned by one operator since new and extensively maintained and upgraded over the years. The mast was removed and serviced in 2019, the stay sail boom was serviced the same year, and the standing rigging was completely replaced in 2008. The Yanmar diesel engine was replaced in 2005, and a generator was added in 2006. All sails are in good condition, and thousands of dollars in spare parts are included with the boat.
The interior showcases abundant teak throughout, with custom cabinetry and flooring creating a warm, bright cabin space. The salon offers six feet of headroom and features twin settees—one six-foot settee to starboard and a large L-shaped settee to port. A forward-facing navigation desk sits to starboard, with substantial storage lockers aft. The galley on the port side includes ample counter and storage space plus a separate refrigerator and freezer. The head is notably spacious, with a large shower stall and extensive storage compartments opposite. The forward master stateroom contains an offset double berth to port and considerable teak cabinetry.
The cutter rig is manageable for a couple, and the boat's design delivers one of the most spacious interiors available in a 37-footer. Ventilation is substantial, provided by a large butterfly hatch, dorades, and multiple opening portlights. A tender is included with the yacht.
