1986 Beneteau First 325

The Beneteau First 325 is a 32-foot fiberglass racer-cruiser built in 1986, designed by Jean Berret for boats that balance spirited sailing performance with genuine cruising comfort. This hull carries a proven design that handles both competitive racing and extended family cruising with equal capability. Powered by an 18-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel, the boat reaches 8 knots at speed and cruises comfortably at 6 knots.

Below deck lies a bright, two-cabin layout with a private aft cabin, full navigation station, L-shaped galley with propane stove, and separate head. The cabin woodwork remains in sound condition with classic detailing. On deck, exterior teak and accent wood was stripped and refinished in 2025. The sail plan includes a Dacron main, genoa, roller-furling jib fitted with Harken equipment, and an unused spinnaker. A Kenwood Bluetooth stereo and Garmin electronics round out the core systems.

Recent mechanical work includes a comprehensive engine service completed in 2026 with new fuel lines, oil and fuel filters, and valve adjustments. The cutlass bearing was replaced in 2026. New batteries and a 200-watt solar panel setup support the electrical system for at-anchor self-sufficiency. The bottom was finished with VC-17 high-performance paint. An inflatable tender with electric trolling motor and a heavy-duty steel storage cradle are included.
