1986 Beneteau First 375

The 1986 Beneteau First 375 is a blue water racer-cruiser built to French Offshore Standards in solid fiberglass. Measuring 37 feet with a 12-foot-6-inch beam, she's designed for both serious sailing and cruising with friends and family. A single 30-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel powers the boat to a cruising speed of 6.5 knots and maximum speed of 7.7 knots. The deck features an open foredeck with bow roller, plow anchor, covered anchor well holding 400 feet of chain, and extruded aluminum toe rails. Roller furling genoa and a low-profile cabin top complete the exterior design, with an aft cockpit and moderate coaming that provides comfortable seating when heeled.

Below deck, the boat has a teak and holly cabin sole with interior teak trim throughout. The galley to port includes a two-burner propane stove with oven, top-access 12-volt Adler Barbour refrigerator, twin stainless steel sinks with hot and cold pressurized water and salt water foot pump, plus extensive storage. To starboard sits the navigation station and an enclosed head with sink, manual toilet, and overhead shower. The main salon features a large central folding table flanked by port and starboard settee berths, with the enclosed V-berth forward and an enclosed double cabin aft to port. To starboard aft is an enclosed cabin with two single bunk berths.

The sail inventory includes a main and jib by Hyde Sails, both new in 2022, plus an additional main and two extra headsails with two spinnakers. Navigation and safety equipment comprises Raymarine autopilot, AIS, chartplotter, depth sounder, ST60 speed and wind instruments, a 24-mile-range radar, and Standard Horizon Eclipse VHF with handheld radio. Power winch and power windlass handle sail deployment. A Viking 6-person offshore liferaft is included. The current owner has added 500 pounds of keel ballast lead plate, bolted and glassed to the keel for improved sailing stiffness.
