This 1986 Bertram 54 Convertible combines proven offshore capability with substantial recent investment. The fiberglass hull spans 54 feet with a 16-foot-10-inch beam, powered by two Detroit Diesel engines producing 1,600 horsepower combined. Both engines were rebuilt in 2011 and have accumulated approximately 800 hours of operation since then, with documented maintenance records from 2012 onward. A new 10-kilowatt Kohler generator with 100 hours rounds out the propulsion package.
The boat's electronics suite includes a Furuno 14.1-inch multifunction display with ultra-high-definition radar and a Simrad autopilot system. Navigation and comfort features encompass a Hydrefiner drinking water filtration system, four Ocean LED underwater lights, and a 1,500-pound Marquait davit. Turbos were replaced, valve adjustments completed on both engines, and fuel lines to engines and generator were renewed. Injectors were serviced in 2018 with spare injectors included. Props were tuned and reconditioned in 2019.
Recent upholstery work includes new bolster covering completed in 2019, fresh flybridge cushions and vinyl, and a new soft top and tower deck installed in 2020. The isinglass was replaced in 2021. All batteries were installed new in 2025. Bright work has been stripped and sanded, ready for finishing. The hull was recently surveyed and reported as sound and dry.
