1986 C&C 33mkII

The C&C 33 mkII is a 33-foot fiberglass sloop built in 1986 by the respected Canadian builder C&C Yachts. Designed as a performance cruiser, the boat combines efficient sailing characteristics with comfortable accommodations suitable for both single-handed sailing and small crews. The hull features a keel-stepped mast and updated keel design, while the 10-foot 5-inch beam maximizes interior volume. A 20 hp Yanmar 2GM20F diesel engine with folding propeller provides auxiliary power.

On deck, the boat is equipped with rod rigging throughout and newer running rigging. Sails include a North Sails battened main, a 2015 Doyle headsail, a 2015 North Sails gradient gennaker with snuffer, and a 2010 North Sails 135 percent genoa. A cockpit-mounted traveller places mainsail control within easy reach, and spinnaker halyards are new as of 2026. The deep cockpit features a dodger and bimini enclosure with new windows installed in 2024. Navigation equipment includes a binnacle compass, depth and speed instruments, and an ICOM VHF radio with DSC and remote microphone.

The interior features a bright, airy salon with full standing headroom, a navigation desk, and a salon table with drop-leaves. LED lighting was updated in 2025. Forward is a vee berth with a new custom foam mattress installed in 2025. An aft quarterberth provides additional sleeping space. The galley is equipped with a 3-burner propane stove, fridge with freezer, and galley sink. The single head has a Jabsco marine toilet and sink with pull-out faucet. A Dickinson propane cabin heater and electric hot water heater are installed.

Recent mechanical work includes a new engine impeller, dripless shaft seal, and cutlass bearing. The deep-cycle house battery is new. The boat comes with a folding steel cradle for winter storage.
