This 42-foot custom trawler was built in 1986 as a Dungeness crabbing boat with a heavily laminated fiberglass hull. In 2010, Nanaimo Shipyards professionally rebuilt her to yacht standards, adding a flush-welded aluminum deckhouse. She cruises at 7 knots on a single John Deere turbo diesel that burns approximately 2 gallons per hour, making her fuel-efficient for extended cruising.
The accommodation plan centers on an ensuite queen cabin forward, with the main salon featuring an open layout, u-shaped galley, and bar seating. Convertible settees in the pilothouse and salon provide additional berths. The single head includes a walk-in shower. Interior joinery is finished in tropical hardwoods with new upholstery throughout and LED lighting. Heating comes from main engine hot water and a Dickinson diesel heater. Recent updates include new carpeting in the pilothouse and aft deck, fresh paint, and a new canvas and isinglass enclosure on the aft deck.
The flybridge offers an upper control station and large flush deck suitable for entertaining, with port and starboard davits for lifting gear. The engine compartment is well organized with orderly mechanical and electrical systems. Recent replacements and upgrades include bronze seacocks, propeller shaft work, stuffing box, hydraulic steering ram, house and start batteries, isolation transformer, and inverter. She carries 400 gallons of fuel, 165 gallons of freshwater, and 30-gallon tanks for graywater and blackwater. Deck equipment includes a Mantus anchor, hydraulic windlass with 100 feet of chain, a 10-foot RIB tender with outboard motor, and tender davit.
