1986 Laguna Laguna 30

This 1986 Laguna 30 is a fiberglass sloop built in California with a solid single-piece hull fitted with internal lead ballast and no keel bolts, offering exceptional structural integrity. The boat features a moderate 4-foot draft, 10.8-foot beam, and 6-foot-4-inch headroom below. Power comes from an 18 hp Yanmar diesel engine with a cruising speed of 6 knots and maximum speed of 7 knots. The design competes directly with the Catalina 30 and was created by naval architect Shad Turner.

The interior remains clean and well-preserved, with original neutral upholstery showing no tears or stains. The galley is a large U-shaped arrangement with double sinks facing the social salon. Equipment includes a gimballed Origo alcohol stove and oven, a new stainless steel and black Galanz microwave with air fryer function, and a sophisticated Heart Interface charging and inverter system. A portable toilet is currently installed; the original marine head and holding tank are stored but can be reinstalled if preferred.

Recent improvements include a new Harken roller furling system installed in late 2022 and a new 6-by-8-foot Bimini top in Sunbrella Captain Navy added in late 2024. The Horizon mainsail and RF genoa are clean and in very good to excellent condition. A Navico wheel autopilot and VHF radio are present but will need to be reconnected. A new compass for the steering pedestal is needed. The hull bottom is clean with no known blisters and requires minor cosmetic work.

The boat also includes a Fortress Danforth anchor with chain and line, a custom full winter cover, and a steel storage cradle.
