1986 Laser 28

The Laser 28 is a 28-foot fractional-rig racer-cruiser designed by Bruce Farr & Associates and built with a Kevlar and fiberglass composite hull. At 3,950 pounds, the boat combines light weight with hull stiffness, and its aluminum fractional rig with swept-back spreaders requires no running backstays, simplifying sail handling and tacking. The design responds well in light air, points high, and planes downwind in breeze, performing across a range of conditions while remaining manageable for short-handed sailing.

The interior layout maximizes limited space with a functional, bright cabin suitable for overnight cruising. The boat is fitted with a diesel Bukh engine producing 8 horsepower and carries a comprehensive sail inventory: three mainsails including a new Evolution, multiple headsails ranging from a new Evolution lapper to a carbon/Kevlar Doyle Genoa, and two spinnakers. Halyards have been replaced within the last five years, and most sheets are new. The older Doyle and North mainsails and headsails remain suitable for racing.

The boat has been kept cleanly and maintained with care. It is rigged and ready to sail.
