This 1986 Ocean Yachts 48 Super Sport is a fiberglass sportfish built on a proven platform. Twin Detroit Diesel 6-71TI engines rated at 485 horsepower each power the boat, with the port engine overhauled in 2018 and currently at 282 hours since that work, while the starboard engine received a full tune-up the same year and runs 1,258 hours. Both engines have fresh fluids as of April 2026 and start reliably.
The interior accommodates three cabins and two heads. A comprehensive refresh in 2019 brought new carpet, headliner, lighting, wall coverings, and countertops throughout. The galley includes updated refrigeration and freezer units. Electronics and stereo systems were upgraded, and upholstery was renewed. Deck hardware includes a Northern Lights 12-kilowatt generator, Cruisair air conditioning and heating, macerated heads installed in 2019, and a water maker. A rebuilt dinghy davit and a Novurania tender with 40-horsepower Yamaha are aboard.
The cockpit features a custom 100-gallon bait tank and fish box extending nearly the full beam, along with outriggers suitable for offshore fishing. The windlass has 300 feet of five-eighths rope and 200 feet of chain but requires a motor. Bottom paint was applied in 2020. The teak in the cockpit area would benefit from refreshing. An upgraded battery charger rounds out the onboard systems.
