1986 Viking 44 Motor Yacht

This 1986 Viking 44 is a fiberglass motor yacht powered by twin Detroit 6-71TI diesel engines producing 970 horsepower combined. The boat reaches a cruising speed of 18 knots and a maximum speed of 23 knots, with a direct drive system for smooth handling. At 44 feet in length and 15 feet in beam, it offers substantial presence and stability on the water.

The layout includes two cabins, each with its own head and stall shower, plus a galley equipped with full-size refrigerator/freezer, Force 10 electric stove and oven, microwave, and double stainless steel sink. The interior features teak throughout with generous storage. A fully enclosed, air-conditioned sundeck with wing doors provides additional living space, while hardtops protect both the aft deck and flybridge.

The boat carries extensive systems and equipment: four Dometic air conditioning units (three newer), a 3000-watt inverter, and a Westerbeke 8-kilowatt generator. Navigation and helm equipment on the flybridge include a 12-inch Furuno GPS multi-function display with open radar array, Robertson autopilot, Icom VHF, and Glendinning engine synchronizer. An Ideal windlass with 150 feet of rope and chain rode and a plow anchor complete the deck gear.

The Detroit engines have logged 2,400 hours; the generator shows 2,675 hours. Three newer 8D batteries are installed, and a spare set of four-blade bronze propellers is included. The boat has been actively maintained and represents a capable platform for cruising or extended voyages.
