The DeFever 53 POC is a 53-foot fiberglass trawler built in 1987, powered by twin Caterpillar 3208TA diesel engines rated at 375 hp each. The yacht's 16.5-foot beam provides a stable, spacious platform suited to extended cruising.
Three staterooms and three heads accommodate owners and guests throughout the boat. The galley is outfitted with residential-grade appliances including a side-by-side refrigerator, five-burner range with convection and air-fry oven, ice maker, and garbage disposal. The main salon features new upholstery, and custom slide-out cabinet shelves maximize storage throughout.
Recent upgrades include new Electroflush toilets, new control cables at both helms, a new extended fiberglass swim platform with three steps, and a new hydraulic system for the 1500-pound Nick Jackson davit. The yacht carries dual Onan generators (8 kw and 15 kw), Naiad stabilizers, a bow thruster, reverse-cycle heat and air conditioning, and autopilot. Deck equipment includes a 3500-pound windlass with 400 feet of 3/8-inch chain, 50-amp electrical service, and underwater lights.
