1987 Grand Banks 32 Sedan

The 1987 Grand Banks 32 Sedan is a classic displacement-hull trawler built on a design that became one of the best-selling small trawlers in its class. The boat displaces power through a single 210-horsepower Cummins diesel engine, achieving a cruising speed around 7 knots and a maximum speed of 11 knots. At 32 feet long with an 11.5-foot beam, the fiberglass hull incorporates a full-length skeg to protect the running gear and hard aft chines for a comfortable ride in a seaway. The hull is characterized by wide side decks, high bulwarks, and sturdy handrails that make moving forward secure.

The single-stateroom layout centers around a pilothouse-style salon with excellent helm visibility provided by large windows. The salon includes a convertible dinette and settee aft, with the galley positioned forward to port. Below deck is a V-berth cabin with a private head and shower. The flybridge seats six adults and provides ample space for additional guests.

This example has undergone extensive recent upgrades totaling over $190,000. The navigation suite is new, featuring a Raymarine system with dual multifunction displays, radar, autopilot, and VHF radio. The mechanical and systems upgrades include a new dripless shaft seal, water tanks, water heater, refrigerator, and air-conditioning unit.
