1987 Hunter 31

The Hunter 31 is a 31-foot fiberglass sloop with contemporary 1980s styling and a racing-oriented design. The boat features a masthead rig with swept spreaders, generous freeboard, and a reverse transom. Deck hardware includes a stainless steel destroyer wheel, bow and stern pulpits, and an aluminum toe rail track. Tinted hatch covers and a purposeful profile distinguish it from traditional designs of earlier decades.

Below and above deck, the 31 provides comfortable accommodation for cruising with family and friends. The layout makes efficient use of the 10.92-foot beam to maximize usable interior and deck space.

Power comes from a 16-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine, which cruises at 6 knots with a maximum speed of 7 knots. The fiberglass hull is built to proven Hunter standards and has the practical durability expected of the model across its production years.
