1987 Tartan 37

The Tartan 37 is a fiberglass sailing yacht designed by the renowned firm Sparkman & Stephens and built in 1987. These boats earned their reputation as high-performance cruisers during that era and remain sought-after today. Cloudburst is well-balanced and handles equally well as a day sailor or extended cruiser, with responsive sailing characteristics and a timeless hull form. A bottom paint was applied in December 2024.

The interior layout is open and practical. The forward V-berth provides sleeping space and storage, with dual access—one private entrance and one through the main cabin—to the single head. The head includes a shower, sink, and storage lockers. The galley is efficiently arranged for comfortable living and passagemaking, featuring large sinks, a propane stove and oven, refrigeration, and strong ventilation. The main cabin showcases quality woodwork, convertible seating, and easy access to the chart table and companionway.

The cockpit, reached via four steps, is spacious and well-suited for entertaining or handling long passages. The yacht combines classic construction with dependable performance throughout. Power comes from a 40-horsepower Universal diesel engine, with a cruising speed of 6.5 knots and maximum speed of 7.2 knots.
