The 1988 Catalina 30 MkII is a fiberglass sloop powered by a 25-horsepower Universal diesel engine with a cruising speed of 6 knots. This second-generation model features the refined deck layout with opening ports, a clear forward hatch, and a T-shaped cockpit. Custom teak and holly cabin sole and teak cockpit grate add character throughout.
Below deck, the salon centers on a U-shaped dinette that converts to sleeping berths, with accommodation for up to seven. The galley is equipped with a two-burner propane stove, oven, and refrigeration. The single head features a marine toilet, hot shower, and holding tank.
The boat carries a Harding mainsail and 135% genoa from 2012, along with a cockpit dodger, bimini top, wheel cover, and sail cover. Twin opening gates and double anchor roller facilitate deck work, while a swim ladder provides water access. The Icon M45 VHF radio, pedestal-mounted depth and speed instruments, and Plastimo compass support navigation. Shore power connection is available, and the fuel tank was replaced in 2022 with a Racor fuel filter installed.
Opening ports—four total—and two hatches provide ventilation. Double lifelines with opening gates run both sides of the boat, and the helm includes drink holders and a lifesling.
