This 1988 Chris-Craft 46 Constellation is a fiberglass motor yacht powered by two Detroit Diesel 671 TIB engines with just over 1,000 hours. The boat spans 46 feet in length with a 15-foot beam, built to accommodate extended cruising and live-aboard use.
The interior underwent substantial renovation two years ago. Lighting throughout was upgraded to LED with remote and programmable controls. New flooring was installed across all compartments—vinyl in the heads, carpeting in the salons and staterooms, and laminate in the office and upper salon. Window shades were replaced in both upper and lower salons. The galley was reconfigured for improved functionality: the original small stove and dishwasher were removed and replaced with a convection steam injection wall oven, tall storage cabinet for sheet pans, and a large butcher block counter that provides expanded food preparation space. Portable cooking appliances including an induction burner and smokeless griddle are onboard for meal preparation.
Climate control and comfort systems received significant updates. All resistive electric wall heaters were replaced with four reverse-cycle heat pump units totaling 16,000 BTU capacity; the upper salon unit and the pump are four years old. The washer and dryer are separate units installed during recent upgrades. A new hot water heater was fitted. The old hide-a-bed sofas were removed and replaced with modern furniture, and the master mattress was upgraded to a modern coil and memory foam model. The flybridge enclosure was renewed and includes multiple screened panels, with replaced helm seats and a small refrigerator.
The boat's systems reflect recent investment in reliability and compliance. The black water system was upgraded with an Electra-san MSD 1 unit and the master head was replaced with a Separett composting toilet, eliminating the need for a black water tank and supporting compliance with no-discharge zones. Security cameras monitor the bilges, engineroom, swim platform, and side deck with remote viewing capability and temperature sensors throughout. The 15 kW Onan generator has less than 900 hours of run time. Engine batteries were replaced, and the boat comes with numerous spare parts and tools.
