1988 Freedom 36

The Freedom 36 is a classic sailing yacht designed by naval architect Gary Mull, the first model in the Freedom line. Built in 1988 with a fiberglass hull, this 36-foot boat features a long waterline, short overhangs, and a 12.5-foot beam that creates generous interior volume. Power comes from a 27 hp Yanmar diesel engine.

Below deck, the yacht offers 2 cabins and 1 head. The interior features teak cabinetry with satin varnish and gloss trim, complemented by a teak and holly cabin sole. The layout has been configured for single-handed sailing.

The rig is a free-standing design carrying a full mainsail with stack pack on a carbon fiber mast, paired with a Hoyt self-tending jib. An electric winch is installed in the cockpit. Navigation and electronics have been updated to Raymarine systems.
