This 1988 Irwin 52 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built for extended cruising and comfortable long-term living aboard. The 52-foot hull carries a 15-foot beam and is powered by a 135-horsepower Ford Lehman diesel engine, with a cruising speed of 7 knots and a fuel capacity of 2,200 liters providing a range of approximately 2,200 nautical miles.
The deck layout features two cockpits with substantial seating, protected overhead by large bimini covers and a solid hardtop. A bow thruster aids maneuvering in tight spaces. Roller-furling sails simplify handling. Standing rigging was renewed in 2020, and sails have been serviced. Navigation equipment installed professionally in 2017 includes 4G radar, AIS transceiver, sonar, depth sounder, VHF radio, and B&G autopilot.
The interior is bright and well-ventilated with numerous opening portholes. Three cabins and four heads accommodate multiple guests; the aft cabin includes a private bathroom. The galley is equipped with refrigerator, freezer, and ample work and storage space. Fresh water tanks hold 1,900 liters total and can be replenished by a rainwater collection and filtration system; plumbing and wiring are in place for optional watermaker installation.
Power generation comprises solar panels, a wind generator, and two alternators feeding a 1,600-watt inverter and Victron MPPT regulator for electrical autonomy at anchor.
