1988 Marine Trader 43

This 1988 Marine Trader 43 is a 43-foot fiberglass motor yacht with a modified vee hull designed for stability and comfort. Twin Cummins 6BT-5.9 diesel engines, each producing 210 horsepower, deliver a cruising speed of 8 knots and a maximum hull speed of 18 knots. The yacht carries 325 gallons of fuel and operates on direct drive, with fuel consumption around 8 gallons per hour at cruising speed. A Kohler 8kW generator with approximately 1,200 hours supports the onboard systems.

The yacht accommodates two cabins and two heads. The aft stateroom features a king-size bed with walk-around space. The galley is all-electric with no propane aboard. Climate control includes three-zone air conditioning, and a washer/dryer combo unit is installed. The spacious aft cockpit has full enclosure for entertaining, and a flybridge Bimini top with full enclosure provides covered outdoor space.

Navigation and safety equipment includes Garmin GPS, chartplotter, and radar screens with AIS at both the flybridge and lower helm station. VHF radios, EPIRB, and PLB are on board, along with Echo Pilot forward-looking sonar. The primary CQR anchor sits on a bow roller with 250 feet of chain and a 12-volt electric windlass controlled from the flybridge. A secondary Fortress anchor with rope and chain rode is also carried. Nine solar panels provide supplemental power, and Bennett trim tabs enhance handling.

Additional features include closed-circuit TV cameras with monitors at the flybridge and lower helm, a raw water washdown on the foredeck, swim platform with boarding ladder and fresh water shower, and an electric dinghy lift. A brand-new West Marine roll-up dinghy with 2-horsepower outboard and a spare set of propellers are included. The Jabsco electric marine toilets have new macerator pumps.
