1988 Ocean 44 Super Sport

This 1988 Ocean 44 Super Sport is a fiberglass convertible powered by twin Detroit diesel engines producing 970 horsepower. The exterior has been extensively customized: the teak has been fiberglassed over and epoxy painted white for reduced maintenance, and the teak decks have been replaced with Sea Deck plastic composite. The flybridge features a fiberglass hard top with sunroof and an enclosed section. The windlass and dinghy davit have been replaced, and the yacht includes rocket launchers, cockpit controls with helm, a cockpit awning, and a full cover.

Below deck, the layout includes two double staterooms, each with an ensuite head featuring a vacuum flush system and shower stall. The salon holds a large L-shaped sofa that converts to a double berth. Wood joinery throughout has been refinished to a high gloss teak. The cockpit is outfitted with extensive storage drawers, a freezer, and a bait tank.

The electronics suite is comprehensive: 72-mile Furuno radar, Simrad autopilot, Simrad VHF radio, Simrad and Garmin chartplotters, depth sounder, and Fusion stereo. A Starlink antenna with two internet-connected televisions in the salon and master stateroom provide connectivity. The machinery spaces hold a Northern Lights generator with fewer than 50 hours of use, a Magnum inverter, icemaker, wet bar, and freshwater maker. New galley appliances and new cushions in light tan complete the accommodations. Recent service on the machinery and new bottom paint are noted.
