1988 O'Day 40

This 1988 O'Day 40 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built for serious offshore cruising. A 40-foot hull with a 12.5-foot beam carries a single Beta diesel engine producing 43 horsepower. The boat underwent a complete refit in 2023 following an extended voyage to Trinidad, with systems and surfaces either replaced or refinished throughout.

The deck and hull feature AwlGrip paint. Equipment includes in-mast furling for the main sail, a full cockpit enclosure, radar and modern instrumentation, a Rocna anchor with new chain and rode on a Lewmar windlass, davits for a tender, and the new Beta engine with 250 hours of running time.

Below deck, the yacht offers two cabins and one head with good ventilation through overhead hatches and side ports. The galley is fitted with a new stove and oven, a large refrigerator with freezer, and a new hot water tank. A Dickinson bulkhead heater allows extended cruising in colder months.
