This 1988 Sabre 42 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built to exacting standards with hand-laminated construction using mat and knitted roving over balsa core, reinforced with vinylester resin and ISO NPG gelcoat. The hull design prioritizes seaworthiness with a fine entry forward, fuller sections aft, and a NACA-section fin keel paired with a skeg for directional stability and efficient sailing. The rig is high-aspect and balanced, featuring sturdy rod rigging and double airfoil spreaders designed for light-air performance and heavy-weather handling. The yacht accommodates two cabins, with the main salon featuring a wrap-around settee and teak or cherry table that folds to convert the settee into a double berth.
