This 1988 Sparkman & Stephens 36 is a fiberglass sloop built for performance cruising, measuring 35'6" overall with an 11'6" beam and drawing 6'6" on her deep fin keel. The design combines the classic lines and seaworthiness Sparkman & Stephens are known for with a modern refit completed between 2018 and 2020. She carries a 25 hp Vetus diesel engine with approximately 266 hours of runtime and is rigged as a 7/8 fractional sloop with a double-spreader aluminum mast.
The rigging and sail plan were comprehensively renewed in 2019 and 2020. Standing and running rigging were fully replaced, and the mast features new Selden components including a retractable bowsprit with Code Zero furling. The sail inventory includes a new Elvstrøm mainsail and Code Zero, a new 130% Precision genoa, a storm jib and tri-sail in good condition, and additional spinnakers and a Kevlar jib. Deck hardware includes nine Lewmar self-tailing winches, new traveler system, and Harken roller furling on the headstay.
Below deck, accommodations consist of a V-berth, private aft cabin, head with pressure water system, nav station, salon, and galley with propane stove and 12V refrigeration. The 2019 refit added 16,000 BTU reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating. Electronics include dual Raymarine Axiom 9 displays, Quantum Doppler radar with forward and side-scan sounder, AIS Class B, autopilot integration, and a B&G VHF with DSC. The hull was stripped, relaminated, and refinished in Awlgrip in 2018–2019, and a new custom rudder was installed in 2019.
