1989 Freedom 45 CC

The Freedom 45 CC is a 1989 sailing yacht built on a fiberglass hull with classic lines and a beam of 13.5 feet. Power comes from a Yammer 4JHTE diesel engine rated at 67 horsepower, paired with a Northern Lights 5000W generator. The yacht carries a full sail plan including a Doyle mainsail, self-tacking roller-furling Doyle jib, Ullman spinnaker, and Hood storm sail, all reported in good condition. On deck, a Furlex roller furling forestay, Rocna and Bruce anchors, and electric Lofrens windlass support cruising and anchoring. Twin Barient primary winches (the starboard one electric) and Andersen secondary winches handle sail trim from the cockpit.

Accommodations center on two cabins and two heads. The aft cabin features a centerline double berth with an electric macerating head and separate shower to port, while the forward V-berth offers a double berth with storage. The galley to port includes a three-burner propane stove with oven, large stainless steel sink, keel-cooled refrigerated icebox, and microwave. A navstation sits to starboard of the companionway, with a dinette and opposing settee forward. A manual flush head and shower are located forward to starboard.

Recent upgrades include 800Ah of lithium house batteries and a Xantrex Freedom 3000-watt inverter/charger installed in 2022, complemented by 350W solar panels and a Victron MPPT charge controller. Navigation electronics encompass two Raymarine Axiom 9+ chartplotters, a Quantum 2 radar, Raymarine autopilot, Standard Horizon VHF and AIS, and a Fusion Audio stereo. The yacht carries 66 gallons of fuel, 140 gallons of fresh water, and 15 gallons of holding tank capacity. Additional gear includes an Achilles dinghy with 15HP Yamaha outboard, davits, deck shower, canvas dodger and bimini, and a six-person liferaft.
