1989 Morgan 44

The Morgan 44 is a fiberglass center-cockpit cruising yacht built in 1989, spanning 44 feet with a 13.5-foot beam. She carries a Yanmar diesel engine and is rigged for strong off-wind performance with a fin keel and skeg-hung rudder. Her shallow draft of five feet makes her well-suited to coastal and inland waters. The boat maintains a cruising speed of six knots with a maximum speed of seven knots.

Accommodations include two staterooms and two heads separated for privacy. The forward guest stateroom features a V-berth with storage flanking it, while the aft owner's stateroom offers a centerline queen and ensuite head with separate shower and tub. The main salon sits amidships with an L-shaped settee to starboard and straight settee to port, served by a U-shaped galley on the starboard side with ample counter space and storage. A dedicated navigation station sits port side, and a walk-in engine room provides sound insulation and central access to mechanical systems.

Fresh water capacity totals 215 gallons across two tanks, with 100 gallons of fuel and 40 gallons of holding. Systems include a 4-kilowatt diesel generator, 320-watt solar panels with controller, air conditioning, and hot water heating. Electronics encompass a Raymarine chartplotter with radar, Autohelm autopilot and instruments, Standard Horizon VHF, and an AIS transponder. A Maxwell electric windlass with remote controls and CQR anchor with chain and rode complete the ground tackle.

The rigging features a 135-percent furling headsail with luff foam and a partial-battened mainsail with two reef points. Winches include self-tailing Lewmar units throughout. Recent work includes reupholstered settees and V-berth, replaced hatch acrylic and seals, and upgraded LED interior lighting. A custom swim platform with telescoping boarding ladder is installed on the transom.
