1990 Californian 45 Motor Yacht

This 1990 Californian 45 is a fiberglass motor yacht built on a modified-V hull with twin Caterpillar 3208TA diesel engines producing 375 horsepower each. The boat draws 4 feet and measures 45 feet overall with a 15-foot-2-inch beam, combining shallow-draft capability with substantial interior volume. A diesel generator supports anchoring and extended cruising. The fuel capacity runs 400 to 455 gallons, with fresh water and holding tank systems sized for extended passages.

The interior centers on a main salon with large panoramic windows opening to the aft deck. An aft master suite features a centerline queen berth with full ensuite head and walk-in shower, while a forward VIP stateroom offers another queen layout with dedicated head. The galley below includes a full-size refrigerator, electric cooktop, convection microwave, and deep sink, with a dinette table that converts for additional sleeping. Rich teak woodwork runs throughout. The flush-deck design provides high freeboard and secure side-deck passage.

The flybridge features dual forward-facing helm chairs with full instrumentation and bench seating for visibility during close maneuvering. An aft sundeck is fully covered by hardtop with enclosure panels and includes a refrigerator and lounge seating. Heavy-duty ground tackle consists of an electric anchor windlass with foot controls and flybridge chain counter. A dinghy davit system is mounted on the aft deck for tender handling.

Extensive recent work includes replacement of the AC units, hot water heater, battery cables, hydraulic steering components, and black water system in 2026. In 2025, the starboard engine received a new water pump, both engines had their fuel injectors serviced and fuel polished, the bottom was sanded and painted, all zincs replaced, and the generator was serviced. Additional maintenance completed earlier included shaft balancing and propeller tuning. A flybridge bimini is on order.
