1990 Hunter Hunter 27-2

This 1990 Hunter 27-2 is a 27-foot fiberglass sloop designed for coastal cruising and daysailing. Built with a 9-foot beam and approximately 3'6" draft, the boat carries a fractional sloop rig and is powered by a Tohatsu 6HP outboard engine paired with a spare fuel tank. A whisker pole, tiller autopilot, and recent sails from Ulman (main and jib, both 2020) support efficient downwind sailing and easy handling.

Below deck, the layout includes two cabins—a private aft cabin and forward V-berth—plus a convertible salon that sleeps four total. A compact galley and private head with marine toilet complete the accommodations. The cabin features open sightlines and good headroom for a boat of this size.

Recent work includes a full haul-out and bottom job completed in January 2024, new GC2 deep cycle house batteries installed in 2023 (225Ah capacity), and a new labeled fuse block for house loads. Navigation equipment includes Raymarine instruments (speed, depth, water temperature) and a Richie compass. The boat carries a full complement of safety gear—eight life vests, fire extinguisher, flares, and spare sailing hardware—along with dock lines and fenders.
