1990 Irwin 38

The Irwin 38 is a center-cockpit cruising sailboat built with fiberglass hull construction and designed for both coastal and offshore voyaging. She is powered by a Yanmar 4JH3 diesel engine with 8,300 hours and carries a fully battened mainsail and furling genoa. The boat is equipped with Raymarine electronics including a chartplotter and linear drive autopilot, along with a full suite of navigational systems. The enclosed isinglass cockpit features wraparound seating with newer cushions, providing shelter in heavy weather.

Below decks, the interior combines practical cruising layout with classic finishing. The saloon holds a U-shaped convertible dinette to port, a settee to starboard, and a nav station with chart table. The galley is L-shaped and includes a three-burner propane stove with oven, double stainless-steel sink, icebox, and refrigerator. Teak and holly sole and teak cabinetry run throughout.

The forward cabin features a V-berth with hanging locker and cabinet storage, opening to the forward head which has a marine toilet, sink, and shower. The aft master cabin contains a centerline queen berth with island berth arrangement, hanging lockers, and drawers, plus an ensuite head with separate shower stall. The boat has two heads and two cabins total.

The Irwin 38 was annually serviced by her original owner and has been meticulously maintained. A Dometic AC system was added in 2022, and the Raymarine linear drive autopilot was installed in 2000.
