A 1990 Tollycraft 44 Sedan with custom finishing by EY Yachts in Victoria. The hull and deck began as a Tollycraft product before being transported to British Columbia for full completion, including the house, flybridge, and all interior work. The design is credited to Ed Monk and is noted for its seaworthiness and proportional lines. Twin Caterpillar 3208 TA diesel engines produce 375 horsepower each, delivering a cruising speed of 16 knots and maximum speed of 22 knots. An 8 kW Onan generator provides auxiliary power.
The interior comprises two staterooms and two heads arranged for comfortable extended cruising. The salon features windows from the main seating areas, while the galley provides ample storage and counter space. The yacht includes both lower and upper helms, a spacious flybridge, and a low-profile cockpit with secure passage forward. An extensive interior refit beginning in 2017 modernized the accommodations—replacing countertops, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical components—while retaining traditional design qualities.
Recent maintenance and upgrades reflect comprehensive attention to systems and safety. Work completed through 2025 includes engine service, new raw water pump, cutlass bearings, shaft and trim tab zincs, bottom paint, hull repairs, updated electrical components including GFCI installation, new navigational equipment, fire safety upgrades, and various solenoid replacements. A Tohatsu 6 HP auxiliary engine was added in 2022 with minimal runtime. This combination of sound construction, thoughtful design, and documented upkeep makes this a well-maintained cruising platform.
