The Beneteau First 45f5 is a 45-foot performance-cruising sailboat built in 1991 to a Bruce Farr design with Pininfarina interior. The fiberglass hull features clean topsides and smooth decks characteristic of Beneteau's design. A custom mast and rig with Forespar Leisure Furl in-boom furling simplifies mainsail handling. Power comes from a 48-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine.
The yacht offers two cabins and two heads arranged in a layout finished with hand-stitched leather, Carrara marble, and traditional Beneteau detailing. The deck layout was factory-modified for Pacific Northwest sailing and performs well under sail, with a PHRF rating of 81.
The boat has been regularly maintained and dry-stored throughout most of its life. Recent upgrades include new teak decks installed in 2018, a new starter with relay, domestic water pump, hot water tank and lines, new engine thru-hull, and professionally applied bottom paint. The mainsail and genoa were serviced by North Sails with new head and bolt line on the main and UV cover on the genoa. The rig was inspected and tuned, and the navigation suite was updated with a Raymarine digital GPS and radar system with AIS sender and receiver, all completed in 2026.
