Built to David Thomas's design and launched in 1991, this 67-foot steel sailing yacht was originally constructed for offshore racing. Her high tensile steel hull, cast iron keel, full-depth skeg, and steel rudder remain as engineered—built to withstand sustained ocean conditions. A Nordic Mast carbon spar now replaces the original mast.
In 2009 the yacht underwent complete reconstruction at Danish Yacht in Skagen. The racing interior was removed and rebuilt with bird's eye maple joinery and teak sole throughout. Decks were hand-laid in teak with black caulking. All electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems were replaced. The result is a luxury cruising yacht with four en-suite cabins: an owner's full-beam aft double, two guest cabins, and a crew forepeak, accommodating eight berths total.
Recent maintenance has been systematic and thorough. A new Steyr SE236E40 230-horsepower diesel engine was installed in 2023 with approximately 15 hours of running time as of January 2026. All battery banks were replaced throughout 2023. The Fisher Panda P25i generator was fully refurbished in 2023. Rod rigging completed its five-year service in 2024, and all running rigging was renewed that same year. The Webasto air conditioning system was serviced in 2023. A Maxpower 24-volt 10-kilowatt bow thruster received a new motor and solenoid in 2023.
The boat carries a comprehensive electronics suite including Furuno MaxSea, NavNet II, Class A AIS, radar, GPS, Navtex, and VHF, with a Simrad AP50 autopilot. Reckmann hydraulic genoa furler and Halmatro hydraulic vang, backstay rams, and outhaul manage the sail plan. North Sails furling genoa from 2020 backs a full inventory including trysail and storm staysail. Tank capacity includes 1,378 litres of fuel and 650 litres of fresh water. A Sea Recovery watermaker is fitted.
